At Novi, we’re catalyzing the shift to values-based shopping. We envision a world of trustworthy CPG products for healthier people and planet. We build technology that helps leading retailers (e.g. Target, Sephora, Amazon, and Bloomingdale’s) better market the world’s most visionary and sustainable brands (e.g. Supergoop, Ritual, Method, Ceremonia, K18, Cocofloss, Henry Rose, Seventh Generation, Drunk Elephant).
We’re a female-founded company helmed by a diverse team of data scientists, chemists, technologists, and CPG strategists. We’re also parents, veterans, marathoners, DIY-ers, pilots, salsa dancers, rubik’s cube champions, and sustainability obsessives. We draw on experience from companies like BCG, Target, Beautycounter, UL, NielsenIQ, Amazon, Yelp, Eventbrite, WeWork, Upwork, and NASA.
Novi is headquartered in the SF Bay Area with offices in LA and presences in NYC, Nashville, and Toronto. We’re backed by leading venture capital firms Greylock Partners, Khosla Ventures, Maveron Ventures, Cowboy Ventures, and Tiger Global; clean living pioneer Jessica Alba; and the board members and founders of Clorox, P&G, The Honest Company, Wealthfront, OpenTable, Gilt Groupe, and Eventbrite.
While we started in the Personal Care & Beauty industry, we’re now serving an expanding list of categories including Household Essentials, Packaged Food & Beverage, Baby, Pet Care, and Vitamins & Supplements. With surging demand for more transparent and sustainable consumer packaged goods, the opportunity is vast – a $5.5 billion market in 2024.
The Senior Manager, Science & Research bridges high-level strategy with day-to-day scientific and operational execution, ensuring both scientific rigor and operational excellence in Novi’s data and solutions. As an operational leader, this role will oversee team structure, processes, and performance, enabling the Science & Research function to scale effectively.
You will manage research initiatives, develop internal systems and SOPs, guide a growing team, and collaborate cross-functionally to drive innovation, credibility, and efficiency. You’ll also serve as a scientific advisor to internal and external stakeholders, including supporting sales and product strategy.
The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a strong scientific background who thrives in a fast-paced tech-driven environment.
