What We're Looking For

AI is fundamentally reshaping product discovery and commerce, and Novi sits at the center of this transformation. We're looking for a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer who can navigate ambiguity, drive technical decisions, and help architect systems that scale as we define an entirely new category.

This role requires someone who can wear multiple hats: technical leader, mentor, and hands-on builder. You'll own significant technical areas, influence our engineering culture, and help shape how the world's largest brands optimize their AI visibility. With the AI landscape evolving rapidly, we need someone who stays ahead of industry shifts and can translate emerging technologies into competitive advantages.

In This Role, You Will

• Lead the design and implementation of complex, multi-system features across our React frontend and Python Django backend.
• Drive architectural decisions that balance rapid iteration with long-term maintainability as we navigate toward product-market fit.
• Own critical technical domains (data pipelines, partner integrations, search optimization, etc.) and proactively identify areas requiring improvement or ownership.
• Build and maintain integrations with large-scale data systems and partner platforms, ensuring reliability across diverse external APIs.
• Architect solutions that leverage LLMs and AI models to analyze, enrich, and optimize product information for answer engines and AI agents.
• Pioneer the integration of AI-assisted development tools (Lovable, Bolt, etc.) into our engineering workflows, establishing patterns for rapid prototyping without sacrificing quality.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through code reviews, pairing sessions, and sharing technical knowledge and best practices.
• Collaborate with product, data science, and leadership to translate business needs into technical strategy and execution plans.
• Anticipate and communicate technical risks, propose solutions, and make pragmatic tradeoffs during strategic shifts.
• Champion code quality, testing practices, and engineering processes that enable the team to move faster sustainably.
• Stay deeply engaged with AI developments, particularly LLM capabilities, agent frameworks, and their implications for search and commerce.
